“Do more with less” has become the unspoken expectation and maybe even catch cry in many workplaces at the moment. Fewer resources, tighter timelines and bigger expectations.

At StrengthsTrail, we don’t see this as a cue to push harder, we see it as a chance to work smarter, through strengths.

When pressure rises, many leaders default to plugging gaps and fixing weaknesses. However, that’s the most energy-expensive way to operate. Strengths, on the other hand, are energy-efficient. They’re how you get more impact without burning people out.

Doing more with less doesn’t mean doing everything. It means being deliberate, so asking questions like this can help:

  • What are my 2–3 strengths that could genuinely move the needle here?

  • Which strength would help me simplify, prioritise or create leverage this week?

  • Where can I stop over-engineering and lean into what comes naturally?

  • Who is best positioned (by strengths, not role title) to lead this piece of work?

Agi and Kate often remind leaders: strengths aren’t just what you’re good at, they’re how you create momentum when capacity is stretched.
